Ehh. Well, first off, I really don't recommend using general peroxide. It's not meant to be used on hair, and may be incredibly damaging. Also, the color quality most likely won't be that great, and it's difficult to use the right way.

Instead, either check out a good coloring kit; there are home kits that I'm sure work rather well, or see a colorist.

Personally, I'd simply recommend seeing a good colorist. If you set up a consultation, they can help you to look at the scale of color, and different tones and shades. That way, you can determine what will look best on you, as well as what's the best way to acheive it -- be it dye, bleach, etc.

are you talking the type you buy to put on cuts? that's not smart. it is a very low volume peroxide, and will take forever to do anything. plus, when a stylist uses peroxide, it is mixed with a color, or a bleach powder, not alone. hair peroxide used alone will make hair ORANGE. *yuck* go to a salon. or you will just wind up in one anyway getting your screw up fixed, and spending more money.

Ack! Don't put peroxide on your hair! It won't end up being a nice color...it will be very brassy and dry.
