I have shoulder length, dirty blond, straight, hair and i am wanting something different.

(how would i achieve this style? and how long would it take to grow out?)

but look at your hair the average healthy head of hair grows about 1/2 inch to 2 inches a month :)

Honey, EVERY SINGLE ONE of the girls in those pictures have extensions. That is not their natural hair. They have added extensions, in the first 3 pictures they curled the extensions with a large curling iron, and in the last picture they straightened the extensions.

Also, you need to remember that all those girls have professional stylists doing their hair every single day. If you wanted it done, your best bet would be to have a stylist style it that way for you, and teach you how to do it if you want to try to do it at home.

You could always get extentions... But if you would rather wait for your hair to grow out naturally, then I suggest you take womens vitamins. This helps to strengthen, and grow your hair out faster. If you started out with a shoulder length hair, it would take at least 3years for your hair to grow out really long like the first and the second one. Especially since the first two hairstyles are curly, when they are straightened, they would be like butt-lengh long! lol As for the last one, it's shorter than the first two, because it's straight and I think it looks fake because of the colour. If it's the same with your hair color which is dirty blonde, I think it should be fine. Be patient and ALWAYS condition your hair so that it doesn't get too damaged because then your going to have to cut it. Good luck

I have to agree with your mom thinking the last one looks to fake. I really hate her hair. As for the length you are looking a about 2 years to grow it that long.
