Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

I like it when an older woman goes a little lighter -- or at least have lots of highlights in her hair. I think it looks better than really dark dye, which doesn't seem to look as good when applied to gray hair.

what ever she likes i say its her hair no matter how old she is

Blonder. Dark shades on older women make their faces look harsh. I started going lighter in my late 30's and I think I look better.

The older we get the lighter we need to be.......that is the way we are anyway........going darker makes us look harsh and artificial.

I think that darker would look more flattering, personally. (as my friend agrees with me on this.) Blonder just seems to make you look like you're trying too hard, on certain people. It is ultimately your choice, but I would go with a darker color.

Any color she likes it.I hear life begins at 60.Although there be alot of hot fifty years youngs.

Go with your instinct on that, just because you are 60 does not mean you should be pigeon holed.

some one do it

neither, a woman should have the confidence to show her true self.

blonder, they gray roots and occasional strands dont show as much. but dont go super platinum, be natural. youre not a teenager anymore. personally i like gray hair, but as long as the color doesnt look fake you should be fine.

All depends on the rest of your features and body

Maybe not blonde, but a lighter color. Then whenever any gray popped up, it would blend better.

Darker.

Do whatever makes you comfortable.

i agree with jessee. i second that opinion.

streak it or frost it! It really is more flattering

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

A woman of any age, young or old should do her hair with what she likes. Age should not be in the decision making.

Women in there 60's are still active and in some cases very sexy.Go with what works best for you.I would have to see you to give a better answer.

definately blonder, the grays won't show as much. But it also depends on the person. has this person had dark hair all their life? then she should do dark. It all depends. But in general I would say blonde.

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

It depends what kind of natural hair you have.

A whiter hair should go blonder

A darker gray should go darker

Definitely go lighter! It's more natural.

I've always thought that lighter colors would be more flattering if the woman's hair was growing in gray. Even better than that, you won't have to dye it as often, because the gray/blonde would look nice together, while the black would look terrible with gray roots. But if you like darker hair (as I do) just go with it. Hair dye can easily be changed, and if you have your hairdresser do it, he/she will give you the best advice.

Depends on the woman, her skin color, the extent to which she has gone gray and her natural hair color. I don't like it when older women go to the platinum blonde color to cover gray when they were never naturally that color. Better to go gray all the way or dye it more frequently closer to their natural color.

I believe your natural color of hair would be more flattering around your face with some lighter highlights however light you want to go . Thats what I do and I'm 56 and I get alot of compliments! The highlights help soften wrinkles like grey hair is suppose too. Hope this helps.

First of all it depends on the women. Secondly darker colors bring out lines and wrinkles in the face and neck. I have always been told the older you get the lighter your hair should get. Lighter colors compliment the aging process. So God knew what he was doing by choosing grey and making it graceful.

Did you ever notice how Mother Nature tends to compensate. Well she makes your hair gray or white to compensate for your age lines. The lighter hair tends to help lessen the lines in our face.

I would say go lighter. Maybe not blond but definitely lighter.

Good Luck.

It's not to do with how old the woman is but what looks best on her personally--her skin tone, etc. What's her natural color? Best to go with that.

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

Go lighter;)

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

blonder because darker will make you look harsher, AND when your hair starts to grow out the greys wont be as noticable with the blonde!!! If u did darker the greys would be very noticable.

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

She should go with the colour that most suits her colouring.

Should a woman over 60 do her hair blonder or darker?

Neither. time to stop and just go natural.
