i want to dye the top layer of my hair platnum blond, but leave the bottom layer my natural, dark brown color. i need a picture to show my stylist what i want. does anyone have one i can use?

Try to google it. Or look through a magazine like seventeen, or Cosmo girl, or one of those and you could probably find a pic like that. but if you mention that you want that to your stylist, she'll instantly know what you want. That style is pretty popular.

Do not dye it Platnium because your hair is dark brown AND Platnium is hard to keep up with! And plus Platnium looks so unatural(yuck)
