Dyed my hair purple about 5 days ago?

but want the purple to stand out a little more since i have medium brown hair. what can i do to get the purple to stand out more. the dye is temporary.

I was thinking of going to a hair salon to bleach my hair platium blond and then redye my hair deep purple using Raw.

any suggestions?

My daughter has med brown hair %26amp; she always bleaches her hair out before she uses the dye, it really makes a big difference. She has had her hair hot pink, bright red, black with bright red bangs %26amp; red chunks throughout the black. Right now it's black with blond bangs while she decides what she wants next. When you bleach your hair it really damages it though, so be careful %26amp; make sure thats what you want to do before you do it. Good Luck!!!

It would be more damaging to your hair, but in order to get the purple to stand out more going blonde first is probably your best bet. Have fun :-)

I work at a hair salon, and the best thing you can do is to go to a salon and have them take care of you. You're never going to reach a pretty color of purple unless you bleach out the sections you want to be purple. I also recommend you use Special Effects if you can. They have some beautiful purples and if you take care of it right, they fafe out nicely too

Okay, first of all..

Bleach it....

but what I do is bleach it and then tone it....

cause...My hair is Black..

Secondly,

Raw is okay...but if your looking for some really good color-staying power or really bright purples I'd go with Speical Effects or Manic Panic...

I used to have Ultra violet((purple)) Hair from Manic Panic..

But since I didn't bleach my hair long enough it didn't come out

The way I wanted it too...

You could see the blue base easily...

And most importantly..

There is no Permanent haircolor for "bright colors"

Uhhh... you kinda answered your own question. Go dye your hair platinum blonde, then redye it purple. It may be more damaging, but the purple will stand out more.

yeah you would have to bleach it and then redye your hair. It'll look great.
