I have a guy friend who wants to cosplay as Ichigo without cutting his hair or getting a wig. He has dark blond curly hair that is about three inches above his shoulders. An idea I had was to straighten his hair, get some hairspray and some orange hairspray paint and only tease his hair to a certain extent without making any real spikes.

yeah you should straighten it, and get some hair wax. like the super stiff or strong hold kind. and im not sure about hair-spraying.. maybe get the wash out dye. or just those not-permanent dyes.
