From medium brown to light blonde hair...?

I have medium brown hair. It was blond before I dyed it brown. Now I don't like it and want to go back blond. My hair is really damaged also. So should I keep putting blond highlights in it until its blond or dye it blond all at once.

Also another question:

Once I get it blond, I want to put a straightener on it. Like, get it chemically straightened. If I put the straightener on it will it change the color of my hair?

DO NOT chemicaly straighten, it is the ultimate sin!! It will ruin your hair, invest in some straightners and heat protection spray, or get a blow dry lesson from a hairdresser, these will make your hair look better than chemcial straightening.

Regarding the blondness i say go for a lot of thin bright highlights and just keep increasing them every six weeks or so until your haur gets to the right colour

Dawn, do as little as possible until all the damage grows out, so it would be best, to just do the highlights.as far as the straightener goes don't try as your hair will break off

wherever the damage is. I a professional suggest that you

start doing some deep conditioners to get you hair back in shape, Dawn hair can take a lot, but you are pushing the limit. if you try to bleach one color.the part that is brown will be orange.so stay highlighted for awhile...good luck
